A few 2020 highlights...scroll to bottom for credits.
It goes without saying that this year was anything but business as usual. Growing Simply Framed took a backseat to simply sustaining our business, as we continued to fulfill orders despite the challenges we faced due to Covid-19. Overcoming obstacles undoubtedly makes a company stronger, and I’m proud of what we accomplished in 2020.
Despite all that we encountered this year, we continued to find ways to improve our service and help you put what you love on your walls.
We launched our complimentary gallery wall concierge service. We built Art Type pages to give you a better understanding of how to choose a frame suited for what you are framing. We retooled our order confirmation emails to give you more information. And we added a new framing facility in Texas that dramatically increased our operational capacity.
Stay tuned for a very exciting improvement coming at the beginning of 2021 that we began building back in July. Good things take time and we can’t wait to share it with you. Checking out on simplyframed.com will have never been easier!
In 2020, our employees spoke up about the causes that mattered to them, and we took action. We donated $5,000 spread out across different organizations working towards racial justice, taking input from our followers about who we should support. Inspired by the 15% pledge we saw retailers joining, we implemented our own Diversify Initiative, stating that a minimum of 15% of content in the pipeline will support BIPOC artists, influencers, and designers.
We also donated funds to support the local cause of Wildfire Relief in Colorado and gave to organizations helping women run for office.
Throughout it all, we managed to have some moments of lightness and brightness in 2020. We made the Simply Framed beanies and sweatshirts that we didn’t know were missing from our lives. We saw our frames grace the pages of some favorite publications, including Domino and Sunset Magazine. Our team had a few weeks in a great new office just before Covid hit, and we’re really looking forward to the day we’ll all be back there, together.
Here’s to more fun, more frames, and more hugs in 2021. Wishing you and yours continued good health and a happy new year!
Cheers,
Dara & Team Simply Framed
