5 Fresh Takes On Framed Wedding Photos

You hear it over and over while planning your wedding: When the Big Day finally arrives, it happens so fast. It’s over in the blink of an eye, and after months of plotting and planning, you’re left with the memories—and, of course, thousands of beautiful wedding photos.

The photos from your wedding help you relive every precious moment of that incredible day—but it’s hard for them to do that if they’re stuck on a hard drive, or tucked into a rarely-opened album on a shelf. A much better way to enjoy them is to print and frame your wedding photos—and with Simply Framed’s convenient Print & Frame service, it’s easier than ever to do just that. It’s no wonder Brides Magazine touted us as one of the 4 companies that make framing your wedding photos oh so easy.

Custom framed wedding photos add the perfect personalized touch to nearly any room in your home, from an entryway gallery wall to a large shot hanging over the master bed. They're pretty much guaranteed to put a smile on your face every time you pass by. Plus, while it’s hard to believe, the holidays are right around the corner! A custom framed photo from your wedding day makes a wonderful holiday gift for your new spouse—and maybe for family members, too.

We love this unconventional take on the classic reception photo, shot by Max Wanger for Jesse and Jimmy Marble. We printed and framed it in our Natural Gallery Frame without a mat to emphasize the oversized scale and fun, candid vibe.

While you’re planning to print and frame your wedding photos, consider having your engagement photos custom framed, too. In fact, they make fantastic additions to your wedding day decor.

No, we’re not talking about that awkward dance move your second cousin busted out late night. A diptych, or 2 photos custom framed the same size and hung in a row or stack, is a fun way to juxtapose different perspectives on the day.

If you decide to build a gallery wall around your wedding photos, consider incorporating other personal tidbits that remind you of all the fun times had throughout your courtship.

The first step to having your wedding photos printed and framed is, of course, choosing your favorite snaps. We recommend starting with the classics (a loving portrait, a family photo, or a fun group shot that really captures the mood of the day) but also leaving some room for the unexpected. Once you’ve selected your images, the process for printing and framing wedding photos is easy:

    • Upload your image from a computer or mobile device, Dropbox, Google Drive or social media. (Note: We recommend using images that are at least 300 dpi for best quality.)
    • If necessary, edit the image with our Crop & Rotate tools.
    • Choose your frame! You can’t go wrong with a classic Gallery Frame. But if you’re looking to up the ante, try one of our elegant Certificate Frames or luxurious Antique Frames.)
    • We think personal photographs look beautiful custom framed with a mat. (Not sure? Click here for our tips to help you decide whether or not to mat.)
    • Sit back, relax, and wait for your custom framed wedding photos to arrive at your doorstep, hardware and hanging instructions included.
